A little too short for my taste but interesting... he really wasn't paying attention when L. Ron had taken over at all. A interesting affect that he didn't just scan her memory to see what had been done could have saved himself and her a LOT of trouble but realistic since he is inexperienced . so fr that reason still gave you a 5.

I really liked this story when it started but it seems to be going down a familiar path - husband uses the excuse of drugs to forgive his wife no matter how much evidence says they should never reconcile. Now she isnt even feeling guilty anymore (just like she didnt during her affair). She has latched onto Bill being a predator and the drugs as a way to absolve herself.
I agree with other posters re: drugs being an unrealistic excuse - the drugs may have lowered her inhibitions (I find this difficult to believe as well - drugs that dont affect your behaviour or memory or coordination etc. and dont do anything but make you horny for a specific guy?) but they didnt make her continue the affair. She kept meeting bill knowing what was going to happen & its damn hard to get a drug to make her do that I would say.
The husband had it right in the first chapter and nothing has happened to make the wife more sympathetic imo. She is sorry she got is all & would be pulling trains by now if she hadnt been caught. She admitted it herself.
Im not saying they cant reconcile but I would really hate it if they got back together now with drugs/predators as an excuse. It doesnt seem she gives two shits about the husband so I cant understand why he would want to get back together. She doesnt even seem to remember she did anything wrong anymore (not the sex either for you knee-jerk hedonists).

Very well written. I enjoyed the detailed specific description of punishment spankings, although the numbers scared me a bit! 100 with the brush?! I don't think I can tolerate that! I know it's supposed to hurt and make me feel uncomfortable and create a memory, but with that kind of harshness I have some doubts that it might affect the overall relationship, the love between us! Just a thought!

In my mind's eye, she was drugged and raped ... period.
You nay-sayers are telling me that if your loving significant other was drugged and raped that you would ditch the bitch?? No one was saying that she should get off scot-free and she certainly didn't. (Kinda crappy of him when you think about it actually)
She definitely should not have taken the THC, but what if there was something else in there (hypothetically speaking)? Drugs affect everyone differently - everything from a toke, or a glass of wine or date-rape drugs.

Like most authors chapter one drug a whole. I gave chapter one a five btw. And like most authors it was a whole with no way out. The thing lacking in most reconciliation stories is human nature. As humans we have memory, nasty thing memory. All the excuses and rationalizations. In the world can't stop memory. The husband will remember every act of faithlessness on the part of his wife and that will affect them going forward. He will not forgive and forget. When she gets a call, he will wonder who from? He didn't before but he will now. When she is running late or has to work over, he will wonder. That is the problem with memory and human nature. And this story like so many others does no address this. I gave this a three for the writing, the storyline was unsatisfying.
