If you want to cover for MRSA and the most common cause of cellulitis (strep and staph) many frontline physicians will give Bactrim for MRSA/staph coverage and Keflex for Strep/staph coverage.
As she is afebrile and well appearing, you discuss with her PMD and send her out on Bactrim and Keflex, to cover both Strep species and MRSA. does not apply
Bactrim treats most community associated MRSA (in my community) and of course covers MSSA. Traditionally listed as NOT covering group A Strep
