Does ibuprofen bring down swelling

After long searches, reading articles, and testing these all out on myself here is the Chriscrazy99 step by step remedy for nasal congestion! (All of these come from various sources i'm just bringing you what I found to work the best.) Step one: Take an ibuprofen. Most nasal congestion isn't caused by an excess of mucus but swelling in the glands. An ibuprofen will lessen the swelling and inflammation significantly. Step two: Get some sort of ice pack, this for me was a sandwich baggie filled with ice wrapped in a paper towel. Place this on the back of your neck preferably while sitting up. This affects the blood flow to the glands and will quickly reduce swelling and assist the ibuprofen in relieving sinus pressure. Step three: If after these two techniques you still feel congested it is because of excess mucus rather than swelling, or most likely a combination of the two. This may seem unorthodox but trust me it is surprisingly effective. You will take one finger and push in between your eye brows then using your tongue you push on the roof of your mouth. Do these back and forth rhythmically and you will feel the mucus from your congestion drain into your throat. This may seem gross but there is nothing wrong with swallowing this mucus to get rid of it or spit it out. Make sure you try this for at least 60 seconds before you decide it's not for you. Thank you for reading I'm sitting here with a clear nose for the first time in a week and I felt the need to share this with as many people as I can! :)
