England Golf has provided the funding for two bursaries of up to £1000 a year for a maximum of three years for any student studying in higher or further education. These were awarded for the first time in October 2016.

Eligibility

The bursaries are provided for students in or entering full-time education at a Higher or Further Education College/University post year 12 if studying a golf related subject or studying an academic subject. Applicants must be actively participating in their course and be able to provide support for their application from their Junior Organiser or course tutor.

Applications for a bursary are open to all young golfers who fulfill the criteria, irrespective of sex, or ethnicity. In general, a bursary may be used for educational purposes, including tuition fees, books, room and board. Annually each recipient must show that his/her enthusiasm and commitment to golf have been satisfactory before the funds are released.

How to apply

Return to admin@englandgolftrust.org no later than the last Friday in September. Your application will be reviewed by the England Golf Trustees who will announce award in October.

Whilst receiving a bursary, the recipients will be required to provide a statement of their golfing and academic progress to the England Golf Trust before 31st July of each year.
