The England Golf Trust (EGT) is an independent charity that provides grants, bursaries and general support for young aspiring golfers from disadvantaged and financially challenged backgrounds.

The EGT is run by volunteer trustees and has no paid staff. All monies go directly towards helping young golfers who would otherwise be unable to play and continue their progress within golf.

The first grants were awarded in 1982, and since then the EGT has helped hundreds of golfers play, progress and enjoy the sport they love. This continues in 2021, with a wide range of funding opportunities currently available.

The trust continues to seek support and donations too. This may be a small personal donation, or a larger corporate partnership. We are also keen to engage with golf clubs and golf captains, who might be interested in running their own EGT fund-raising competitions.
